She committed to completing both the Restorative Dentistry and Practical Restorative Dentistry courses immediately after qualifying, with Prof. Paul Tipton, where she was awarded the Most Outstanding Student Award. She also completed the one-year comprehensive course in Cosmetic Dentistry and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry under the guidance of Dr Christopher Orr. She is currently working towards her Diploma in Restorative Dentistry and hoping to complete her Fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons.
Nazia has a huge passion for cosmetic and restorative dentistry and is a dedicated General Dental Practitioner. She is trained in the field of facial aesthetics and has a keen interest in orthodontics. Sedation and anxiety management is a rewarding aspect of dentistry that she is thoroughly committed to, having worked at a sedation referral centre since 2008. She is also a registered member and Mentor with the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD), educating dentists in the intravenous sedation technique.
Nazia is an enthusiastic supporter of the dental community. As a member of the British Dental Association (BDA) she has held a number of roles including the Young Dentist Representative for West Midlands’ BDA section and was an elected member of the BDA Central Counties Executive Council. Nazia has also helped to establish BDA study clubs for West Midlands’ dentists. Nazia is also an active member and the Secretary of the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry (BARD).
Presently she is Practice Principal at Spa Dental Clinic in Droitwich Spa. Dr Alyas has been proudly awarded Foundation Dentist Trainer status with the West Midlands Postgraduate Deanery.
